(Sydney, NSW) This Saturday, March 10, will see the return of the cream of the Sport Compact brigade to Western Sydney International Dragway for the final round of the ANDRA Sport Compact Series. The last time many of these cars were seen at WSID track was November last year.

“It’s good to have these types of cars running down the quarter-mile once again. It shows that drag racing is a diverse motorsport and doesn’t just involve the traditional drag racing vehicles that can be seen at our regular Bracket Attack meetings or our major events,” remarked WSID CEO Jim Read.

On the day, fans can witness some of the best four, six and rotary-powered drag racing competition in Australia. The brackets being contested in the series final are Pro RWD, Sport Mod, Oz Mod, Front Runner, Sport RWD, Sport FWD and All Motor.

In addition, WSID will host an ET Bracket for non ANDRA-licensed Sport Compact enthusiasts. Competitors in this bracket cannot run quicker than 13.00-seconds over the quarter-mile. Like all other competitors on the day, ET Bracket contestants will have four qualifying opportunities before entering dial-your-own format elimination racing.

The event requires pre-entry for all ANDRA-licensed racers and the entry deadline has been extended to 5:00pm this Friday, March 9.

Entries will be accepted on the day, but only for the ET Bracket for vehicles running 13.00-seconds or slower.

Spectator gates will open at 8:30am with qualifying commencing at 8:45am and eliminations scheduled from 1:00pm.

General Admission: $25
Under 12 and Aged Pension: $15
Kids under 12: Free
