EZY10, Have you used your parachute yet since you installed it?
I was just curious because of how low you have the cables for the chute mounted. I was always under the impression you wanted the chute cables mounted as close to the center line of the vehicle as possible because if you mount them too low the chute will want to yank the back of the car up off the track when deployed.

It happened to a guy here with a gallardo at the texas mile. he deployed his chute at the end of his run and the rear wheels left the ground.

Here is the car. Notice the chute cable mounts below the bumper
http://autoweek.com/storyimage/CW/20101026/CARNEWS/101029927/AR/lambo-gallardo.jpg&maxW=630

Here is the video of what happened
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yS1NU6xjTSY&feature=player_detailpage

Maybe you don't have any issues with how your chute is mounted but I thought i would ask, you have a gorgeous car and i hope it always stays shiny side up!

Cheers

no i haven't used it yet but mine is mounted just behind the diff not under the bumper like the lambo i've had it checked by the calder officials and they said it was ok .

yah ive seen many cars with the chutes mounted too low ,one that stays in my memery is the radcliff dyno cortina , went on its roof twice because of chute too low , back end of car lifted of the ground at the top end of the track and he was a passenger from then on ,,not nice and i would hate too see you (John ) in the same boat ,,
i seen a skyline of Boosteworks at a work shop the other day thats going too have some trouble at top end with were the chute is mounted down nere the diff, hope thy dont end up like the lambo not nice too see cars wright off for silly mistakes like these ,,,

Congrats on a great time and thanks for emailing me the video of the run, untill now I wasn't aware of the work that you had put into this thing, I am impressed that it's full interior and runs such quick times.

Did you end up using the annular discharge venturi?
