Hiya to all the girls out there,

Just letting you know the 2nd AWMN drag racing training day is on again for women at heathcote park raceway on March 31st 2007.

If you have always wanted to try drag racing, this is the day to do it!

All cars are welcome, standard or modified, Road bikes are also very welcome and encouraged to come along as well.

Your instructors will be: Debbie Reed, Debbie O' Rourke,Kath Stevens, Amanda Shepherd, Evelyn Sholtz and Karen Sichter.

These very experienced ladies will be instructing you all day on Startline protocol, how to do burnouts, track rules, terminology, Dial in racing, how to nominate your dial in time, etiquette and anything else you want to know.

Deb Reed has 28 years drag racing experience and is the first woman in Australia to win a top Alcohol event, Deb O Rourke is the fastest woman in a blown sedan in Australia to date and Evelyne Sholtz has 20 years experience in side car racing and salt lake racing on motorbikes! Karen Sichter has 8 yrs experience racing an 8 sec modified dragster.

You are in good Hands!


It is a fun day, lots to learn with lots of like minded ladies!

Spectators and husbands, friends and partners are also welcome to come along, but just remember that only the girls will be on the track!

We have the Drag Safe Police cars coming along, there are give aways and raffles too.
