i was woundering could you transplant a VL turbo six in to a VK. would this be hard, would there need to be any major or custom modifcations needed to do this. also any idea of a cost.
any info would be good

hi guy iv got an 89 vn calais that i bought about 8 months ago and i wanner put a 307 v8 in it and i was just wondering if i should turbo charge it or supercharge it if anyones got any good ideas for me email me at gattjake@hotmail.com ur help would go a long way thanks

vb, vl, vk meh all the same commonwhore really lol.
probably easiest just to get a whole vl subframe and bolt that in assuming it will.. Save yourself a lot of wiring hassle by getting an aftermarket ecu too like a microtech.

havent seen any vks with the rb engine, not saying it hasnt been done,
the k frame from a vl should fit straight under the vk, even a vn k frame will will fit the vl and vice versa,
you will have to remeber the rb was shoe horned into the vl so maybe could be tight squeeze
Why wouldn't you just consider a VL Turbo?

it should fit easy as try casle main rod shop they probly have a convertion kit

Thats what i was thinking
A mate had a VK with a VL motor, ill ask how much hassle it was (i would imagine it would be pretty easy)

IF anything you'd have to change or adjust engine mounts.
and i agree with INFLYT that the VL turbo's are much better
the k frame out of a vl will fit vk but run the vk rack
