Fast and Furious 5 made HOW MUCH at the box office?!


Fast and Furious 5 has made a record-breaking A$76 million at the US box office over the weekend — the best ever result for an April release.

The film made an additional $12.2 million at the Australian box office in its first week, beating out Thor on $9 million.

For a franchise's fifth instalment, we have to admit to being completely surprised by this result. Sure, the reviews have been good and the fast cars/hot guys combo is a winner, but the financial haul is still well above industry expectations.

There will certainly be a Fast and Furious 6 now.
