Scott’s John Deere ride on mower has a little more horsepower than most. A result of a few spare parts, Scott had the mower out for his first test run.
Sourced from a Holden Commodore, the Holden 253 cubic inch V8 engine is tweaked up a touch by a Crane camshaft, Edelbrock inlet manifold and 4-barrel carby. A Kingwood axel is used as a tail shaft with drive delivered directly via the clutch through a 1in chain to a Toyota Cressida IRS diff centre.
